Q: What is the difference between Perfect Prep EQ Extreme and Perfect Prep EQ Supreme?
Supreme is stronger.

Perfect Prep EQ Extreme and Perfect Prep EQ Supreme work similarly. The difference is that Perfect Prep EQ Supreme contains extra B Vitamins that give it an increased boost of calming support. If your horse needs more calming effect than Extreme alone, you may want to try Supreme or a combination of Perfect Prep EQ products.

Q: How does Perfect Prep compare to pheromone gel products?
Perfect Prep EQ is stronger.

Pheromone gel products claim to work in the short term (lasting about 2.5 hours) by sending signals to the horse’s brain that mimic the signals a mare sends to her foal. These signals are thought to calm a nervous horse. Perfect Prep products work differently by providing vitamins and minerals that are shown to effectively create calmness in horses, while lasting about 6+ hours for Perfect Prep Extreme and Supreme, and up to 18+ hours with Perfect Prep Gold and Sane & Sound MAX paste.

Q: Can I feed Perfect Prep EQ Sane & Sound pellets every day?
Yes, however:

Perfect Prep EQ Sane & Sound pellets were designed to be used pre-performance when your horse is under increased stress, as the formula contains targeted ingredients that are cumulative with repeated administration. They are safe to be used daily, however we recommend Perfect Prep EQ Training Day, as this formula was designed specifically for every day use.

Q: Can I feed Perfect Prep EQ Gold pellets every day?

Q: Can Perfect Prep EQ Sane & Sound be used as a complete gastric support formula?
No, and here’s why:

Perfect Prep EQ Sane & Sound contains gastric buffers to offset the gastric upset that may occur while your horse is under increased stress. It is not intended to replace your daily digestive support product, such as GastroEase EQ.

Q: Does Lactalex contain any prohibited substances?
No.

As leaders in the management and preparation of top performance horses, we create the most effective formulas while avoiding all prohibited substances. See FEICleanSport, USEF or AQHA Guidelines to learn more.

Q: What is the difference between Lactalex and Lactanase?
Lactalex contains even more ingredients for muscle health and recovery.

Lactalex contains all the ingredients necessary to prevent lactic acid build up, and also contains required branch chain amino acids to replenish muscles during exercise and aid in speedy muscle recovery. Lactalex also contains Vitamin E (with Selenium for absorption) that acts as a free radical scavenger to help rid the muscles of the waste products resulting from exercise. Finally, Lactalex contains PP1, a proprietary non-narcotic pain reliever consisting of DL-Phenylalanine and L-Leucine for comfort while containing no prohibited substances.

Q: My horse has ongoing back and muscle soreness. Will Lactalex help?
Yes!

You may administer Lactalex powder according to your horse’s symptoms.

Q: Can Lactalex and Perfequin be used together?
Yes, however:

While Perfeqiun and Lactalex were not designed to be used together and contain redundant ingredients, they may be safely used together. Many riders who use them together find Lactalex and Perfequin to be effective simultaneously.

Q: Does Perfequin contain any prohibited substances?
No.

As leaders in the management and preparation of top performance horses, we create the most effective formulas while avoiding all prohibited substances. See FEICleanSport, USEF or AQHA Guidelines to learn more.

Q: Can my horse stay on Perfequin for an extended period of time?

Q: What is the difference between Perfequin powder and Perfequin Pre-Event paste?
Perfequin Pre-Event Paste is concentrated.

Perfequin is offered in both powder and paste to accommodate your horse’s needs. Perfequin powder is ideal to feed daily for extended comfort enhancement. Perfequin Pre-Event paste is super concentrated for targeted use.

Q: Can Perfequin and Lactalex be used together?
Yes, however:

While Perfequin and Lactalex were not designed to be used together and contain redundant ingredients, they may be safely used together. Many riders who use them together find Perfequin and Lactalex to be effective simultaneously.

Q: Is GastroEase EQ a replacement for UlcerGard or GastroGard?
No, and here’s why:

UlcerGard and GastroGard are Proton Pump Inhibitors that reduce the production of stomach acid, prescribed by a vet for a specific condition. They create an environment where ulcers can begin to heal. GastroEase EQ supports the healing process and maintains peak digestive function during and after the administration of omeprazole.

Q: Should my horse stay on GastroEase EQ all the time or only when he needs it?
All the time.

GastroEase EQ will help support the digestive condition of every horse and may be used continually. GastroEase EQ Rescue paste is great to keep on hand in case of gastric distress. You may choose to use GastroEase EQ intermittently, but most horse owners who start their horses on GastroEase EQ see such great improvement that they continue feeding it daily.

Q: How long should I keep my horse on ProtEQtor?
As long as your horse requires immune support.

ProtEQtor’s natural immune boost begins within 48 hours of first administration and continues until ProtEQtor is clear of the system. We encourage starting your horse on ProtEQtor 3 to 5 days before your event and continuing administration throughout to keep the immune system at its peak.

Q: Do I need to use both ProtEQtor paste and powder?
Not necessarily.

Available in a paste and powder, we recommend feeding ProtEQtor paste AM and ProtEQtor powder PM to ensure that your horse is ingesting the product (some horses take time adjusting to the taste of the powder.) You may then switch to powder only.

Q: My horse has occasional skin allergies. Will ProtEQtor help?
Yes, and here’s how:

While ProtEQtor is not a prescription medication for hives or seasonal skin allergies, it may help balance the immune system and help moderate your horse’s response to regular seasonal allergies. It may be used during competition when allergy medications are not allowed.

Q: Can I use ProtEQtor as an alternative to vaccinating my horse?
No.

ProtEQtor is ideal to use alongside your usual vaccination program. In no way should it be used as a replacement for vaccines that protect against common diseases and viruses.
