Karen Polle

Karen Polle is a show jumper who competes internationally for Japan. She was born in Tokyo and grew up in New York City. Karen is a graduate of Yale University with a degree in Economics.

In September 2018, Karen competed in her first Championship, the World Equestrian Games, with her top horse With Wings. They finished 21st individually out of 130 riders. She has won classes at major 5* competitions internationally, including in Paris, Rome, Dublin, La Baule, Calgary, Palm Beach, and New York. She won her first 5* Grand Prix in Wellington in early 2017 on With Wings. A few weeks later, Karen and Wings were awarded the Simba Run Memorial Trophy for winning the most prize money during the entire WEF 2017 circuit. In May of 2017, Karen was selected to become a member of the Rolex Young Riders Academy, whose mission is to support some of the most promising up-and-coming riders in the sport.
